Finally, after being teased for quite some time, the Rimac Concept One has made its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept is not only trying to prove that “electric” and “supercar” terms can be mixed into one item but also previews a special limited edition model that will be delivered to the market in a quantity of only 88 units next year. One of the unique things we can find on the Rimac Concept One is the powertrain that is divided into 4 different sub-systems. Each of the systems consist a motor, an inverter and a reduction gearbox. With 1,088 HP of total power, the car is able to reach 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds from standing start.

The Rimac Concept One is said as the product of some of the most famous designers around the globe. Adriano Mudri contributed with the carbon fiber body and the interior was given by a team of ex Pininfarina employees under Goran Popovic commando. At the 2012 Top Marques Monaco, the car has been shown to the public. At that time, the company also released some images ofthe car officially.
Analysts said that the Rimac Concept One is not just about sportiness but it is also elegance. The exterior parts are mostly made from exposed carbon. It not only shows its production materials and technology but more than that, carbon fiber helps it to keep low weight. The bodyside features a symmetrical, unique appearing feature that provides the Rimac Concept One a very strong identity and clear distinction. The duct is the abstraction of tie, which is an original Croatian product. The interior section is the work of Vilner. Their name have been so popular in the industry and for this concept, they specially developed a driver-focused interior.
With those facts, it is not surprising if media and analysts said that the Rimac Concept One would be a serious and a more economical contender for the Bugatti Veyron though its top speed will not get closer.
