The still unknown “iPhone 6” has garnered new features and concepts that are rapidly gaining huge attention both from loyal customers and gadget geeks as well. The upcoming smartphone from Apple is said to feature a laser keyboard and plastic-based cache.

On the last day of January 2013, Apple has published a patent that deals with the laser keyboard technology which was dubbed as ‘Depth Perception Device & System.’ The technology enables a virtual keyboard imagery to be projected with the help of a laser beam point that comes out of the iPhone. After the beam hits a flat surface, a keyboard hologram appears. Each key stroke is fed in the device as it is detected by the built-in camera.
The Laser Keyboard feature of the Iphone6 can be used as an option to the touchscreen keyboard and may take a while before users can get the hang of it. It remains to be seen however if using the laser keyboard can also produce the expected interaction speed from the device.
Another new concept on the works is the handset’s plastic-based body which is a total deviation from its familiar metal build. It boasts of edges that are smoother and curvier reminiscent to those of the iPad mini. It is said to retain its predecessors’ 4-inch display though it will also have features of older models such as the A5 processor of the iPhone 4S and the camera of 8 megapixels.
