Following the HTC nomenclature, the new iteration of Xbox gaming console by Microsoft is here and it is called the Xbox One. After a 7 year gap, Microsoft finally found time to upgrade its old gaming console as the Xbox One is the result. The gaming console was announced in an event held in Redmond, Washington. The event held on Tuesday was dedicated entirely to this new product by Microsoft. However, it is only an announcement event as the shipments would start only in the third quarter. Therefore, by Christmas this year, your new Xbox One will be ready for usage.It is not just a gaming console. The president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, Don Mattrick said that that the new Xbox One is more than a gaming console. It is a single stop for home entertainment. His claim is ably supported by the fact that Xbox One has many apps like Skype, Live TV, music integrations, web integration, apps and some pre built games that will be providing a larger than life home entertainment experience to the users.
The Vice President of Interactive Business at Microsoft, Yusuf Mehdi who handles marketing for the division said that Skype group calling is the feature that will attract users the most. In fact, it would complete change the way people use their gaming consoles. Now they will be downloading apps on the consoles as well as games, will be able to play online or through LAN and even get to interact in real time. If play gets a little overboard, the live TV will be there for rescue or the people can switch to some music.
One of the best things about this console is that the users will automatically be identified by the console and the saved data for that users will displayed there. The intelligent console will also keep track of the gaming trends for the users, check when was the last time that they logged into the systems that they played and also keeps track of their gaming activities. This tab will connect you with your friends or the community you wish and keep you updated with the latest that is happening with them. It is certainly an ambitious product for the tech giant and might do good business as well.
