Could Canadians make their own particular exploits of 007 and offer them the length of they stay North of the Border? We conversed with some law masters, to figure out.

In today’s world, where we can all carry around small mobile gadgets with GPS and have complex navigation systems on our cars, how can we lose a 210 foot long passenger airliner? This is what happened when flight MH370 of Malaysian Airlines disappeared along with 239 people onboard more than a week ago.

Although many of us may think that a commercial airplane’s position is constantly monitored and that pilots are in continuous contact with air traffic control, the truth is far from what we believe. When a plane is 100 to 150 miles away from the shore, radar cannot be used to track where it is because it doesn’t have the coverage. Commercial aircraft then communicate using high frequency radio at predestined reporting points along the flight path, reporting the plane’s position, air speed and altitude.
In most cases, flying at 35,000 feet is mostly uneventful and there is nothing to report, so pilots maintain radio silence and although planes use GPS for navigation, this only tells the plane where it is. And when in the air, an aircraft generates so much data that no one has figured out how to organize it into a readable manner yet. There is no way of transmitting, receiving and storing that data so that it can be interpreted wirelessly. Disappearances like those of flight MH370 are so rare that no one has gotten around to making it possible yet.

But it is still surprising that aircraft cannot transmit their own location, even though WiFi services are available on many flights (which can be used to located a plane anywhere on the planet). There is enough bandwidth available for a plane to transmit all the data that flight control would need. A bandwidth of a few hundred kilobits per second would be sufficient to relay the plane’s diagnostics. The only problem is that no one has implemented a system yet (a system that would supposedly cost billions of dollars to implement worldwide).
Of course, there is the disastrous possibility that the plane crashed into the ocean or exploded mid-air, in which case, the debris is hard to find. It is hard to find scattered debris in such a large ocean, especially when you don’t know if the area where you are searching is right or not. Search and rescue teams have had a hard time looking for any parts of the aircraft because it is not confirmed where the plane went down.

With so many unknown variables in flight MH370′s disappearance, it makes us wonder why we haven’t used our greatest technology to make something safer. Especially something as common as commercial airlines which are used on such a massive scale everyday. Hopefully, the case of flight MH370 will prove to be a learning point for air traffic controllers and aviation officials across the globe. Meanwhile, we can all pray for safe recovery of the passengers and the plane.

Like other home movies, the one-second-a-day videos may only be entertaining to those who know the people in it. This “one second” home movie, though, is one you’ll never forget.

For all the restaurant lovers; this article should come as a treat. Why? Because you must have been at many restaurants with different themes and unique styles but the one we shall be showing you today is out of all those restaurants’ league.
 Usually, we see that restaurants are more or less the same with the only difference being how they are being operated, decorated and different cuisines that they are capable of providing to the customers.
So what we have for you today is a unique type of restaurant which is known as ‘Dinner in the sky’ and sits about 50 meters above the ground! The idea is to have a table hanging at 50 meters height while the dimensions of the platform are; length of 9 meters and width of 5 meters. Now to the important question; how many people is the platform capable of carrying? The platform can, surprisingly, hold 22 diners while allowing room for 5 members from restaurant’s management team that act as waiters and serve food. This table can also be folded down for transportation and once folded, the dimensions are 2.5 meters width and length of 6 meters. The weight of table measures up to 5 tons and weighs in at 7 tons when fully loaded.
The table has 22 seats (obviously), comes with a rotation of 180 degrees and since safety comes first; the customer’s seat comes with 4-point seat belts. This whole assembly is lifted by employing a 120 ton crane which has 5 axes. The whole procedure requires about 2 hours and an area of 30 meters after which the detachment of facility is carried out within an hour.
Dinner in the Sky comes with many other features as well which includes TV screens, lights, heating, sound system and a custom banner (parties can be so much fun). The whole assembly comes with washrooms which are located on ground and the trip to washroom will take you only a minute(from sky to ground).
The company has also introduced ‘Marriage in the Sky’, ‘Lounge in the Sky’ and ‘Showbiz in the Sky’. The whole idea sure is unique and well, a bit peculiar. However, considering the whole assembly is being lifted by a crane, Don’t get us wrong but we would prefer just dining out at a regular restaurant!

This ancient Chinese instrument strangely sounds like Super Mario Brothers Nintendo game.
Searching “Super Mario Theme” on YouTube will yield many unique renditions on a range of instruments including guitars, pianos, church organs, ukuleles, wine glasses, flutes, and 11-string basses. And while they’re all special and unique in their own way, no non-electric instrument can truly replicate that distinct 8-bit sound of the original game.
It’s actually a series of bamboo flutes that are arranged like a pipe organ over a single mouth piece. Although more traditional shengs simply used holes in the bamboo, advancements over the millennia have led to the keyed version this young woman is playing.
Sticklers of the original Super Mario Bros. theme song may find subtle differences such as the tempo. However, when she does the sound effects like the coin-getting chime and the super-size mushroom sound we doubt you’d be able to tell the difference if there was no accompanying video.
Netizens agree using every synonym for “amazing” they could muster. Many were impressed with the sound effects, saying: “That sounds identical to the coin sound!”While one viewer simply said it “was godlike.”

It’s an impressive display of what traditional Chinese musical instruments can do, and would lead to a rush on shengs around the globe if it weren’t for their exorbitant prices. The sheng pictured on the right is selling on Amazon now and it’s nowhere near the quality of the one that woman was playing, but it could be yours for just 472,500 yen (US$4,646).

The Lamborghini Gallardo in which Justin Bieber was caught under the influence of a

lcohol(even though he was under the limit) and drugs has now become a star itself.. Previous reports also suggested that part of the arrest was due to street racing but according to the rental company’s GPS tracker he actually was not.

Nevertheless now ‘everyone’ wants to hire the exact same Gallardo, from models to crazy Bieber fans. Local models are competing among each other to get the photo opportunity first while the weird Bieber fans want to hire it to take photos with it at the DUI arrest site according to the rental company, Lou La Vie exotic car rental.

There have also been reports that his licence was expired at the time of the arrest. If that is in fact, we are not sure how or why the rental company rented out their car. But thanks to all this, the company is now making money by renting it out for $1,500-$1,700 per day.

A video has begun making the rounds and it's, well, going to disturb you a little bit, sorry. It's an animatronic baby designed by special effects guru Chris Clarke, to be used in an unnamed UK soap

opera. While your immediate reaction might be to think that this is merely the first in an all-out assault from the uncanny valley, Clarke explains in the comments that there's something much less ominous at play here: you simply can't put an actual, premature baby under TV studio set lights for hours at a time. It's also not Clarke's first work on infants, as you can see at the 4:45 minute mark in the second video below. Clarke also did some of the special effects work for War Horse, enabling scenes that otherwise would have harmed an actual horse.

So the animatronics are creepy, but they're also preventing real humans and animals from suffering for our entertainment. Feel better now? Yeah, us neither.

When I look at these Movies nowadays with big action scenes, lots of big car chases and of course the total destruction that follows, I cringe…but yes I do enjoy them, maybe not as much as my horror flicks, but I quite often watch them, especially when my hubby and I are into cars.
I myself love cars, especially old muscle cars and love these kinds of Movies, such as XXX with Vin Diesel (yummy !) and Bad Boys starring Will Smith, but the poor cars, these beautiful machines they destroy…all for a few seconds of pleasure. It makes me want to cry !

These Movies tend to draw in the crowds at the Box Office and do end up making everyone lots of money, but what happens to these battered and broken cars at the end of filming ?
Do these Movie big-wigs ever think of the environmental side of smashing up loads of cars and disposing of the crumpled pile of metal when everything is over ?

I would love to know if they actually use the true cars in the crash scenes or are they just kit cars or specially (cheaply) constructed fakes that they destroy. I have heard that some Movies use a cheap chassis with the correct vehicle shell, which they then adapt and modify to do stunts or of course to blow up etc.

But other ones such as the Bond Movies use freebie cars from the likes of Aston Martin. In Casino Royale, the scene where Bond (Daniel Craig) flips the Aston along the road before being captured and tortured by Le Chiffre, they totalled 3 of these beauties and they weren’t cheap mock ups either. They were the real deal. The sacrifices car manufacturers make for advertising in movies…

G.I.Joe

G.I.Joe just smashed the record of the most cars wrecked in the making of a Movie. They destroyed 112 while making this below par Film.

Blues Brothers 2000

This was the original record holder until G.I.Joe came along, with 103 cars, mainly Police Vehicles wrecked in one massive pile up.

Gone in 60 seconds (1974)

A 40 minute chase scene in this Classic Movie results in 93 cars wrecked.

Bad Boys II

Not 100% sure, but I counted over 20 cars and a boat wrecked in just 4 minutes of this Movie, now that is a lot in a short time !!

Final Destination 2

Around 20 + vehicles were crashed, rolled and blown up, including cars, vans, buses, trucks and Motorbikes in this domino effect crash scene.

Dukes of Hazard

Dukes of Hazard wrecked 27 Chargers doing these kinds of stunt jumps while filming and cast members suggest somewhere around 250 cars altogether were totalled.

The Matrix Reloaded

The rumour mill has it that GM donated 300 cars and that all of these were wrecked by the end of filming, but not sure how true this is, as the consensus seems to be that G.I.Joe holds the title…and of course how many were actually Blown up rather than crashed??

A total of 14 cars were wrecked during the filming of Mad Max, most of these were decommissioned Police vehicles that were heavily modified. But there was only every 1 Interceptor built for this Movie.

Christine

Sources have reported that they destroyed 12, 1958 Fury’s in the making of the film Christine.

And last of all a Movie due out 2011…

Looks like there could be a new contender for the title of Movies that Blew up the Most Cars in the Making. Not sure how many they have destroyed so far, but this looks a lot!!

Wonder how many city car’s were in amongst these trashed vehicles? But I bet they never use any electric vehicles to smash up, cos that would just be downright dangerous. Demon Chick xx
