The World's First 3D-Printed Car Is Revolutionizing The Way We Travel

Local Motors has developed a revolutionary, 3D-printed car known as Strati.

The vehicle is the first of its kind, having both its body and chassis 3D-printed together.

Unlike other cars being manufactured today, Strati is  cost- and time-efficient vehicle to produce.

It takes only about 44 hours for the car to be printed and it is made of ABS plastic reinforced with carbon fiber. There are also only about 50 parts that make up the car, as opposed to thousands that are used to build cars today.

Strati is said to cost only about $18,000 when it is released in 2016 and bound to revolutionize the way future cars are made.
